Welcome to Berlin Charter Township.

Formerly part of Ash Township, Berlin Charter Township became an independent Township in 1867. Its borders include Frenchtown Township on the south and Ash Township on the west. The Huron River forms most of the Township’s northern boundary along with Brownstown Township and the cities of Rockwood and Flat Rock.
As part of the Monroe Metropolitan Area, the township is also within the much larger Metro Detroit region.

Property Fraud Alert is a free notification service that alerts subscribers (via email, text, or voicemail message) each time a document is recorded with their names on it.

Monroe County Alert Notification System (MCANS) reaches citizens immediately with critical information.

Berlin Township Residents Scam Alert

It has been brought to the attention Of Berlin Charter Township that a few residents have received an email requesting payment of an invoice via wire transfer related to an application before the Berlin Charter Township Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals.
Berlin Township will never ask for a payment via wire transfer. This is a fraudulent email and if you have received one, please contact: Mary Jo Gedelian, Township Supervisor at phone: 734-586-2187 x1 or email: maryjo@berlintwp.net
