On-Call Firefighters and Medical Personnel

Berlin Charter Township Fire Department is hiring on-call firefighters and medical personnel for its Newport and South Rockwood stations. Candidates must live in or nearby Berlin Charter Township boundaries. No experience is required as the Township will pay for all necessary training.

We pay up to $25.00 per call and $20.00 per hour for calls extending past the allotted pay-per-call timeframe. We offer monthly department training at $15.00 per hour. Non-trained personnel earns a lower rate, with pay increases after achieving state-required training.
