ATTENTION BERLIN CHARTER TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS:

Please do not open your door to anyone you do not know!

An approximately 50-year-old male is knocking on doors in our Township asking to test your water. Please do not open the door. Our water department will have a scheduled appointment, a marked Berlin Charter Township truck, and an ID badge.

There were two incidents in the last few weeks where the individual entered a home, let in two additional men, distracted the homeowner, and ransacked the home.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Berlin Charter Township Water Department at 734-586-2187. Also, if anyone knocks on your door without an appointment, please contact the Monroe County Sheriff at 734-243-7070 or dial 911.

Berlin Charter Township Fire Department is hiring on-call firefighters and medical personnel for its Newport and South Rockwood stations. Candidates must live in or nearby Berlin Charter Township boundaries. No experience is required as the Township will pay for all necessary training.
